Orange has launched a new service offering nine TV channels for users of
3G mobile phones.

Subscribers to Orange TV, which costs £10 per month, will be able to
watch the channels live, 24/7, using their 3G handset.

The launch lineup includes ITN News, CNN, Comedy Time, Cartoon Network,
Toon World, Fashion TV and extreme sports. Special channels have also
been developed for reality shows Big Brother and Celebrity Love Island.

"Our customers will be the first in the UK to watch TV on their mobiles,
be that CNN or 24 hour coverage of the Big Brother house," said Alexis
Dormandy, Chief Marketing Officer at Orange.

"This signals the start of a huge new opportunity for our customers,
broadcasters, handset manufacturers and production companies."

The news comes just one week after NTL and O2 announced a partnership to
trial a similar service.
