Got this through from travelocity this morning which was mildly
interesting...

About to go on a trip? Always forgetting to send postcards to your
nearest and dearest? Now you can turn any photo taken on your phone
into a real postcard. And send it to someone's home from your phone.
To anyone in the world. Not an electronic postcard. The recipient
receives a real, hold-in-your-hand card with the picture you chose on
the front, sent by us in the post (first-class).

How do you create and send a postcard in the post, all from your
mobile? Follow five easy steps:

    1 Go on a trip

2 Take photos with your phone camera

3 Create a picture/ multimedia message with your favourite (sic),
add a greeting, and send via MMS (not email) to postcards at travelocity.co.uk

4 Reply to the text message we send you, telling us the recipient's
name and address (separated with commas)

5 The recipient receives a unique, highly personal postcard in the
first-class post
